Bermuda-based group acquires 50% of Aqualyng China
Beijing Enterprises Water Group Limited (BEWGL) announced on 9 April 2010 that it had acquired a 50% equity interest in Aqualyng China Limited. Norway-based Aqualyng Holding AS, which has many years of experience in design, construction and installation of seawater desalination facilities, holds the other 50%.

Aqualyng begins first phase of Chinese SWRO plant

JGC and Hyflux to collaborate on water and desalination projects
Hydrocarbon engineering company JGC Corporation of Japan and NewSpring Utility Pte Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Singapore-based membrane technology company Hyflux Ltd, signed a joint venture agreement on 22 December 2009 to develop greenfield water projects including desalination in China.

Sembcorp-led JV to build Oman power and desalination plant
Singapore’s Sembcorp Industries announced on 23 November 2009 that a joint venture formed between its fully-owned subsidiary Sembcorp Utilities and the Oman Investment Corporation (OIC) has won a 15-year contract to supply power and water to the government-owned Oman Power & Water Procurement Company.
