Australian desalination centre launches new funding round

Australia's National Centre of Excellence In Desalination (NCED) has announced that its next funding round is now open for Expressions of Interest (EOIs)from Participating Organisations (NCED members).

This third funding round will continue to grow the NCED's research portfolio with both fundamental and applied research in five areas aligned to the Australian Desalination Research Roadmap:
  • Pretreatment
  • Reverse osmosis desalting
  • Novel desalting
  • Concentrate management
  • Social, economic and environmental issues.

  • EOI forms and funding guidelines are available for download on the NCED website. Deadline for EOI receipt is 20 May 2011.

    Organisations wishing to participate in the funding round are encouraged to contact the centre for information on how to get involved.

    Research funding for the NCED is provided through the Australian Government's National Urban Water and Desalination Plan.
