New RO membranes reduce pretreatment need

Two new spiral-wound reverse-osmosis (RO) elements from Hydranautics will be on show next week at the American Membrane Technology Association’s 2009 conference and exposition in Austin, Texas.

The CPA5-LD and ESPA2-LD are designed for difficult industrial applications and demanding municipal water and reuse applications. This membrane is well suited for the treatment of difficult feedwaters for numerous applications which up to now required significant pretreatment upstream of any composite RO membrane.

Hydranautics LD technology products offer enhanced chemical resistance, innovative spacer design and HYDRAblock™ antimicrobial technology.
