Fybroc expands 2530 Series seawater pump

US pumpmaker Fybroc has expanded its 2530 Series line for desalination and other applications beyond the recently introduced 4x6x13 size to now also include a 4x6x10 pump size.

This completely non-metallic fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP) magnet-drive pump provides excellent corrosion-resistance and is ideal for moving brine, brackish water, seawater, surface water and wastewater.

Designed utilizing state-of-the-art magnets, the latest silicon carbide shaft and sleeve bearing materials, the Series 2530 has vinyl-ester, vinyl-ester with BPO-DMA cure system or epoxy-resin wetted parts.

The Series 2530 pump is now available in ten sizes with capacities up to 1500 GPM (350 m³/h), heads to 400 ft (125 m), powers to 100 HP (75 kW), temperatures to 200 °F (93 °C) and working pressures to 200 PSI (1,380 kPa). Self-priming models are also available with capacities up to 300 GPM (70 m³/h) and heads to 200 ft (65 m).

Other features include a low-pressure FRP containment shell, pressurized bearing lubrication, closed impeller design, a separate two-piece impeller and magnet arrangement, and ASME/ANSI B73.1 installation dimensions.
