Dow introduces its own prebuilt UF skid

Prior to its official launch, Dow was publicizing its new IntegraPac™ skids at the AWWA/AMTA Membrane Technology Conference in Glendale, Arizona, which opened on 29 February 2012.

Consisting of Dow IntegraPac ultrafiltration (UF) modules, auxiliary parts and piping, IntegraPac skids are said to significantly streamline design, assembly, shipping and installation. This efficient UF solution results in lower costs, faster assembly, smaller footprint and easier maintenance.

With asymmetric hollow fiber H-PVDF membranes, uniform pore size and outside-in flow configuration, Dow UF modules maintain high performance under a wide variety of feedwater conditions. The skids are rigorously designed, engineered and tested to meet the highest industry standards.

Other features claimed for the new skids include:

  • Modular and scalable for design across a wide range of flow rates
  • Construction materials selected for corrosion-resistance and chemical compatibility
  • Individual end caps with built-in interconnectivity allowing modules to be connected directly, and eliminating ancillary piping, manifolding and connections
  • Operator-friendly clear filtrate pipes designed and located for easy visual integrity inspection
