The Southeast Desalination Association (SEDA) is to hold a workshop in Florida in April on Pilot Testing of Integrated Membrane Systems.

The workshop will be in Safety Harbor on 23 April 2014 and will include a tour of the Clearwater groundwater recharge (GWR) pilot plant.

Clearwater is expanding use of reverse osmosis technology and considering GWR, a form of indirect potable reuse. The GWR project includes construction of a water purification plant to supply 3 MGD (131 L/s) of highly treated water to recharge the Floridian Aquifer.

Clearwater’s GWR project is now in pilot demonstration to optimize treatment and verify groundwater injection. Part of the day will be spent on hands-on training with pilot units.
