Poseidon signs two VPs and construction director
Three experienced US water industry personnel have joined Poseidon Resources, following the departure of Nikolay Voutchkov earlier this year, the company announced on 20 July 2009.
Stan Williams becomes vice president of project development; Jonathan P. Loveland is vice president of technical services; and Chris J Costello has been appointed director of construction services.
Williams was the first chair of both the San Francisco Bay Area Water Agencies Coalition and the San Francisco Bay Area Regional Integrated Water Management Plan Coordinating Committee. Prior to joining Poseidon, he had served for over 13 years as CEO for the Santa Clara Valley Water District, one of California's largest local water agencies with an annual budget exceeding $350 million and over 800 employees.
Loveland previously worked for Malcolm Pirnie and McGuire Environmental Consultants on dozens of desalination, water treatment, water quality and regulatory compliance projects. His expertise includes full-scale plant optimization studies, conceptual design and cost estimating, pilot studies, filtration and disinfection issues, and project management.
Costello will be overseeing the engineering, procurement and construction of the Carlsbad and Huntington Beach seawater reverse-osmosis desalination projects. His previous positions include VP construction manager of the San Juan Capistrano Desalter Project for SouthWest Water Company, and construction manager for Pepper Construction Company, managing projects for the USC Wrigley Marine Science Center and Disney's California Adventure.
Poseidon Resources now has websites for its desalination projects at
