Jakarta’s new plants poised to start supply

Commercial operation of three new desalination plants is poised to begin in Jakarta, Indonesia, after construction was competed successfully, reports wartakota.tribunnews.com.

The off-taker is Jakarta Department of Water Resources (SDA) which will supply households in the Thousand Islands region at Payung, Kelapa Dua and Pramuka. Commercial supply will begin when testing on water quality and network pressure is completed. New connections from the network to households has formed part of the project works.

A fourth desalination plant on Panggang Island is expected to complete in the near future.
