IDA Fellowship partners with PUB to offer desal or reuse opportunity

Singapore’s national water agency PUB is to host the IDA Fellowship Programme for 2016-17, with the selected individual offered an opportunity in either desalination or reuse for the first time.

The second time that PUB is hosting the scheme, it is offering the chance to contribute to research on either desalination or reuse, or alternatively to fulfil an operational or maintenance role at reuse plant, NEWater Factory, in Singapore, for four to six weeks.

“The 2016-17 IDA Fellowship is the first to offer an attachment on either reuse or desalination, in keeping with our additional focus on reuse as part of our mission,” said IDA secretary general, Patricia Burke.

The IDA Fellowship, which began in 2008, is a prestigious global water industry award that additionally provides funds of up to $10,000 to the winner. It is designed to promote interaction, and sharing of knowledge, technologies, and processes, across the global desalination and water reuse industry.

Applicants must have eight to 10 years’ experience in desalination or reuse, and be a member of the IDA. The deadline for submissions is October 13, 2016.
