Gradiant wins industrial ZLD contracts in India

Gradiant India has won four zero liquid discharge projects with industrial clients in India.

The news follows on from Gradiant Corp’s formation of its Indian subsidiary in April 2018.

The water reuse projects are for clients in the textile processing, dyestuff, alkali-chemical manufacturing and pharmaceutical industries. Each will recycle between 100 and 4,000 m3/d of highly-contaminated industrial effluent.

India’s industrial operators produce 13.5 million m3/d of contaminated wastewater, of which 40 per cent currently goes untreated.

“Tightening regulation coupled with increasing water demand is intensifying the pressure on our existing and future clients. Pharmaceutical and textile operators are acknowledging that our proprietary solutions can reduce costs and increase reliability of wastewater treatment,” said Grandiant India managing director Ravichandran Selvaraj.

“Our growing presence in India, coupled with commissioning these new projects, testifies to the environmentally progressive mindset of local business leaders,” he added.

Gradiant India has established offices in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, in eastern India, and Ahmedabad, Gujarat, in the west.
