Foundation seeking desalination PR toolkit

The WateReuse Research Foundation wants to develop a public communication toolkit to assist project sponsors in the preparation of an education and outreach plan associated with the implementation of desalination projects.

The foundation has issued a request for proposals for Development of a Public Communication Toolkit for Desalination Projects (WateReuse-12-02)

The purpose of the Desalination Communication Toolkit is to address many contentious issues associated with the present understanding of the role of desalination as a viable alternative by the general public and environmental community at large. The project objectives are as follows:

  • Develop a framework for an education and outreach plan focusing on desalination issues
  • Develop a centralized list of available information regarding key desalination benefits and challenges from reputable agencies
  • Create informational items, including, but not limited to, videos, PowerPoint presentations, fact sheets, and white papers in an easy‑to‑understand format that is visually pleasing.

  • The deadline for proposals is 27 September 2012.
