Florida company to build Clearwater RO desalination plant

Poole & Kent Company of Florida has been awarded a contract to install a reverse‑osmosis desalination plant in Clearwater, Florida.

The contractor, part of the Emcor Group, will build a 6.5 MGD (24,600 m³/d) facility, including an ozone disinfection system and iron removal, using a brackish water source.

The scope of work for City of Clearwater includes chemical storage and feed systems, groundwater storage tank, concentrate storage tank, pumping systems, emergency generator system and new building additions, as well as installation of all instrumentation, controls, HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems.
