Following the disastrous earthquake which affected the headquarters of the European Desalination Society in L’Aquila, Italy, on 6 April 2009, the EDS has rescheduled and relocated upcoming courses to Genoa in July 2009.
The affected courses, all led by Dr Corrado Sommeriva of ILF Consultants, are:
EDS secretary-general Miriam Balaban told D&WR at the society’s Desalination for the Environment conference in Baden Baden, Germany, on 19 May 2009, that she is currently looking at additional locations for future courses, but would like ultimately to return to L’Aquila, once it is safe to return.
