Consultant sought for Wichita water reuse project

Wichita Public Works & Utilities (WPWU) in Kansas, USA, has issued a request for proposals for professional services related to a 250 million gallons a year (2,600 m³/d) water reuse project.

The proposed project would provide reused wastewater from WPWU’s Wastewater Plant # 2 to Spirit AeroSystems as a replacement for a portion of its potable water use. This would establish a sustainable water supply for industrial processes that would be mutually beneficial to Spirit and the City of Wichita.

Proposals should reach Melinda Walker, Purchasing Manager, Finance Department, City Hall, Wichita, KS 67202, by 24 March 2011.
