Aquatech unveils Dutch subsidiary

Aquatech, US provider of desalination, water reuse and zero-liquid discharge (ZLD) sytems, announced on 15 April 2010 the establishment of Aquatech BV, a fully owned subsidiary in Leiden, the Netherlands.

Peter Dencher, who ran Christ Holland for nearly 20 years, has been appointed managing director. Dencher will be responsible for building the Aquatech BV organization to support European and African activities for Aquatech.

Aquatech plans to increase market share in the European and African markets, where has a long history of success. One recent example is the completion and current operation of five high-profile flue-gas wastewater ZLD projects for ENEL in Italy, one of the largest ZLD programs in the world.

Aquatech BV will also focus on providing local support in Europe to Aquatech’s key petrochemical, oil and gas, and power clients, as well as work to solve water scarcity challenges in key water-starved regions such as North and South Africa.
