Submerged Membranes for Drinking Water

ZENON ultrafiltration membranes will offer water companies in the UK a superior drinking water treatment technology that can operate more efficiently and more cost-effectively than other treatment methods and provide a higher quality permeate than submerged microfiltration systems. With ZeeWeed technology, water companies can construct water treatment facilities with smaller footprints and lower lifecycle costs, as well as substantially increase capacity of existing plants by retrofitting existing assets with the ZW1000 compact membrane.

“ZENON is extremely proud to earn the Secretary of State’s approval for our ZeeWeed® products,” said Jack Noble, Managing Director of ZENON Environmental UK. “Over 4,000 megalitres of the world’s daily drinking water treatment capacity is currently operational or under development with ZeeWeed membranes, and that figure continues to climb rapidly as water managers across the globe realize the operational, financial and quality benefits of ZENON technology. We are eager to begin sharing these benefits with communities in the UK.”

With drinking water standards becoming increasingly more stringent, ZeeWeed ultrafiltration membranes are providing high quality drinking water that meet or exceed standards, while reducing the required footprint, energy and chemical consumption as compared to conventional systems. The ZW1000 membrane takes this a stage further with its high flux, high packing density characteristics that offers the ultimate blend of performance and cost effectiveness.

ZENON is a world leader in providing advanced membrane products and services for water purification, wastewater treatment, water reuse, desalination and pretreatment to reverse osmosis to communities and industries worldwide.
