RPS saves client over £1.2 million of site remediation (GE)

The works undertaken by RPS include:

·         Detailed risk assessment.  The QRA and subsequent ground model approach saved the Client approximately £700,000 over the original remedial strategy.  Remediation has been completed and the strategic infrastructure has  been constructed.

·         Detailed assessment of the ground engineering properties at the site including assessment and remedial methodology to minimize long term settlement to the internal highways.

·         Waste classification was undertaken on the soils and a detailed cut and fill calculated.  From this a earthworks management plan was prepared to allow retention of surplus arisings.  This together with the waste re-classification saved a further £500,000 to the client.

·         Flood risk assessment, adoptable surface water and foul water detailed design.

·         Millstream improvement works were designed and undertaken to improve the site drainage and allow ecological enhancement of the water course.  RPS undertook the applications for the Land Drainage Consents.
