The School of Engineering and Information Technology seeks to strengthen the collaborative links with NCEDA and to increase the research profile in Desalination and Water Treatment, and is therefore committed to appointing a senior academic in this area. While Murdoch seeks an internationally recognised leader in the field, and prefers to make the appointment at a level of a full Professor, it would consider appointing a talented rising star initially as an Associate Professor. The School combines intensive world-class research and teaching programs, underpinned by the research excellence and commitment of its academics, and the quality of its facilities.
