Danfoss introduces its largest pump yet for midsize SWRO plants
Danfoss High Pressure Pumps continues to add new pumps targeting the medium-sized SWRO market. With output of up to 43 m3/hour
Danfoss has added a new pump to its growing range of dedicated pumps for SWRO plants. The APP 43, Danfoss’s largest high-pressure axial piston pump yet, saves operators up to a full 20% in energy costs compared to centrifugal pumps.
In addition to the lowest kW usage in its class, the APP 43 is also the market’s most compact and service-friendly pump, making it the go-to choice for trains that drive mid-size SWRO plants from 500 and all the way up to 20,000 m3/day.
“We see a clear trend in the market toward more and more modularity for midsize SWRO plants,” says Jesper Bentzen, sales director at Danfoss. “Operators are looking for the flexibility and reliability of parallel trains without compromising on energy efficiency.
The APP 43 provides the market’s best energy efficiency in a design that’s compact, simple and reliable. And with our highest output to date, we expect the APP 43 to be part of the picture for more and more mid-size plants as they come on line in parallel trains.”
The APP 43 is available worldwide from July 1, 2013.

iSave – isobaric energy recovery device
Danfoss has introduced the first isobaric ERD that is fully integrated with its own positive displacement booster pump and electric motor. The result is fail-safe flow control - without the use of separate high-pressure flow meters.
