Acwa, Suez, and Veolia among nine to answer desal RfQ from OPWP

Oman Power and Water Procurement has received nine requests for qualification from international players on its Barka/ North Al Batinah desalination project.
The firms, which await confirmation of their qualification status, are:
* Acwa Power;
* Cobra Instalaciones Y Servicio;
* China Geo-Engineering Corp. Branch, with Al Fairuz Trading & Contracting, and Hyflux;
* International Power SA (IPSA);
* GS Inima;
* Suez International;
* Valoriza Agua;
* Veolia Middle East; and
* Utico, with FCC Aqualia, and Majis Industrial Service.
The project is for two desalination plants, one of 150,000 m3/d at North Al Batinha, and at Barka, a facility of 100,000 m3/d.
