AGRU Kunststofftechnik GmbH is a major, international manufacturer of innovative plastic products such as piping systems, semi-finished products, concrete protective liners and geomembranes. The Austrian family business with some 900 staff worldwide is managed by Director Mag. Alois Gruber. The head office and 4 production facilities are located in Bad Hall, Upper Austria. The impressively high percentage of exports at some 90 % and the tightly-meshed, global sales network, which encompasses more than 80 countries, do justice to the motto of “Competence in Plastics”, thus illustrating AGRU’s global market presence.

Double containment system for waste water in Belgium
An extraordinary project regarding a double containment piping system was realised in Belgium close to Brussels. This project was executed in cooperation with Vink Belgium for the company JANS-SEN PHARMACEUTICAL.
Pretreatment/cleaning
AGRU piping system with chemical resistance in Chile
For the application a PP-R piping system with white outside layer and a total length of 6 km was installed. Large quantities of abrasive industrial slurry accumulate at the company Ecometales which are then transported over a distance of 6 km to a treatment plant.

Total solution for pure water in the Netherlands
The oil from the Schoonebeek oilfield in the Netherlands is viscous and fairly heavy which made extraction very difficult for a long time. The client NAM (Nederlandse Aardolie Maatschappij BV) decided to resume extraction by the end of 2007 and to employ a new technology whereby steam was injected into the ground.
