Frontiera is one of the main horizontal centrifugal pump ranges: Argal® created the TGF and TMF (the sealless magnetic drive versions) and the ZGF and ZMF (the sealed mechanical versions compliant to ISO 2858 standard).

Frontiera pumps comply with the international regulation ISO 2858 (DIN 24256 â€“ BS5257). They can operate in many fields of application, from the chemical industry to cosmetics or lubricants, minerals and especially water treatments and seawater as Frontiera were created with high-quality materials to be 100% resistant to chemicals:
- pure thermoplastic polypropylene (PP UV stabilised)
- pure polymer fluorinated ethylene-chlorotrifluoroethylene additive free.
MAGNETIC OR MECHANICAL ELECTRIC MOTOR
Frontiera are actuated by an electric motor. The impeller rotates inside the casing of the pump either by a direct mechanic transmission (mechanical sealed models ZGF, ZMF) or by a magnetic drive (sealless models TGF and TMF).
The impeller of the magnetic drive pumps TGF (long coupled), and TMF (short coupled) has a crown of permanent magnets embedded and is free to rotate around static supports located inside of the liquid proof casing.
The impeller of the mechanical drive pumps ZGF (long coupled), and ZMF (short coupled) is keyed on the transmission shaft assembled to the shaft of the electric motor; fluid losses from casing to electric motor are prevented by sliding seals (mechanical seals) made of adequate materials.
EXTERNAL STAINLESS STEEL SHEETING ARMOUR
Optional stainless steel made external armour resists to corrosive atmospheres and spills of corrosive chemicals in correspondence of the hydraulic connections better than similar cast-iron made protections would.
