Carlsbad water-purchase deal near to conclusionAn official of the SDCWA attending the American Membrane Technology Association conference in San Diego told D&WR that the authority was finishing up its own assessments and was about to go back to Poseidon to finalise details of the agreement. He said the authority was very happy to be taking over the purchase of water from the 189,000 m³/d seawater reverse-osmosis plant from the original group of nine partners. The new agreement would allow SDCWA to resell water to anyone within its area, rather than just the nine original agencies. Posted on 13 July 2010
