Aqua commissioning desal/demin plant in Abu Dhabi

Membrane skid being delivered
Aqua EPC LLC of Dubai, whose parent group Christ Water Technology is currently in the middle of a takeover, is currently installing and commissioning a 20,304 m³/d seawater desalination and demineralisation system for an industrial client in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

For Phase1, the installation will have three trains, with two passes, followed by three deminineralization trains.

The system has been designed on packaged skids, including pipework, ready to be placed on the foundations. The largest package is 8m x 5m x 5m and weighs of over 25 tons.

Boron removal has led to the use of newly developed membranes with high specific flow and high boron rejection.
