The Santa Paula MBR process could be one of the most energy efficient in the world

Sometimes when a wastewater treatment works is found to be in non-compliance with regulations this can be the spur to producing a revamp which suddenly becomes a model for others to follow. Such is the case with the City of Santa Paula in California.

As a result of the revised wastewater plant's equipment selection and robust design features, it is now one of the most energy-efficient and cost-effective membrane bioreactor installations in the world.
