New thinking required to overcome potential water-reuse barriers

From October 2009 through June 2010, Black & Veatch conducted a series of six high-level roundtable discussions around the globe that brought together about 75 industry thought leaders to review the barriers to water reuse and to explore the solutions and processes needed for overcoming them. Overall, participants in the six roundtable discussions agreed that adequate future water supply hinges on intelligent recovery and reuse. But advancing the option of water reuse will require new ways of thinking and new paradigms. This article first appeared in the November/December 2010 issue of Desalination & Water Reuse magazine.
