Membranes prominent in Clarke Prize program

Papers on membrane-based water treatment will be very prominent in the one-day Clarke Prize Conference to be held in Newport Beach, California, on 15 November 2013 by the National Water Research Institute.

The 2013 prize will be presented to engineer Dr R Rhodes Trussell of Trussell Technologies Inc.

Speakers at the conference will include:

Dr Pedro Alvarez, Rice University, on Biofouling and Microbial Control: Insights from Nanotechnology

Dr Mark Wiesner, Duke University, on Nanoparticle-Enabled Advances in Membranes for Water Treatment

Dr Amy Childress, University of Southern California, on Advanced Membrane Systems for Contaminant and Energy Challenges.
