Australian water recycling centre seeks research projects

Australia's Water Recycling Centre of Excellence (AWRCE) is calling for Expressions of Interest (EoIs) for applied and strategic research projects on its Goal 1 - to quantitatively demonstrate and/or enhance the social, economic and/or environmental value of water recycling in Australia.

This is the second call for proposals to deliver on this goal.

The centre's will shortlist applicants from the EoI submissions and those that best meet the selection criteria will be invited to submit a full proposal. Intent to submit an EoI must be notified by 4 November 2011, with the deadline for the actual EoI at 2 December 2011.

The AWRCE has a strong interest in supporting projects that will benefit rural and regional Australia and encourages submissions addressing issues in these areas, as well as metropolitan centres. An information session will be held in Adelaide on 31 October 2011 to provide an overview of the centre and its strategic research plan, and to respond to queries regarding this call for proposals.

Those interested in understanding more and registering their interest in attending the workshop and/or submitting an EoI, should contact Sarah Haydon, manager research and commercialisation, at sarah.haydon@australianwaterrecycling.com.au or telephone +61 7 3015 9708.
