Severn Trent displays improved UV kit and filter floors

An improved, upgraded model of the MicroDynamics® open channel microwave UV disinfection system specially designed for wastewater treatment and reuse applications will be displayed by Severn Trent Services at the WEFTEC 2012 exhibition and conference in New Orleans between 29 September and 5 October 2012.

The company will also be showing off the new Anchor-Rite® feature for its Tetra® LP Block™ dual-parallel lateral underdrain filter floors.

Severn Trent‘s new MicroDynamics technology offers greater disinfection capacity in a smaller footprint compared with previous designs. It uses microwaves to energize low-pressure, high-output electrodeless lamps for water and wastewater disinfection. Systems are available in open-channel or closed-vessel designs.

Tetra LP Block dual-parallel lateral underdrain filter floors provide excellent distribution of both backwash air and water to offer more efficient bed cleaning and lower operating costs.

The floors feature the patented GroutGrip™ and the patent-pending Anchor-Rite designs. The GroutGrip design increases resistance to uplift from the filter floor, while Anchor- Rite securely fastens the block to the floor.
