New ROSA software version to launched at EDS event

Dow Water & Process Solutions will launch the newest version of its Reverse Osmosis System Analysis (ROSA) software program at the European Desalination Society’s Desalination for the Environment conference and exhibition in Baden Baden, Germany on 17 May 2009.

ROSA 7.0 includes new features like:

  • permeate split-stream calculations that can model more economical partial two-pass designs than formerly possibly with conventional blending
  • internally staged design (ISD) configurations, allowing for two or more element types within the same pressure vessel to balance vessel hydraulics and maximize system production;
  • advanced, industry-leading modeling of seasonal temperature ranges on long-term membrane performance;
  • user-defined pre-stage pressure drop;
  • improved element value analysis.
  • Small group in-booth trainings on 18-19 May will allow participants and visitors to get familiar with the new features of the software.
