Shutdown to follow full production at Gold Coast desalination plant

The Gold Coast seawater desalination plant in Australia began delivering water to the South East Queensland Water Grid at 100% capacity on 9 March 2009.

But WaterSecure, the government authority responsible for the plant, then announced that the 125,000 m³/d plant would be shut down from late April for a number of weeks so that previously announced defects can be repaired.
