The Southeast Desalting Association (SEDA) has announced a technology transfer workshop on Chemical Treatment for Reverse Osmosis (RO) to be held in Palm Bay, Florida, in December 2013.
The workshop will be held at the Palm Bay Utilities South Regional Water Treatment Plant on 12 December 2013.
Including a tour of the South Regional RO facility, the programme will feature classroom instruction by Mo Malki of American Water Chemicals Inc. Topics will include an introduction to water chemistry, the principles of RO, organic fouling, troubleshooting, cleaning procedures, corrosion mechanisms and prevention.
