RWL Water LLC, which owns Israeli desalination and water treatment company Nirosoft, announced on 16 November 2011 that it had acquired a controlling interest in Eurotec WTT, a leading European manufacturer of wastewater treatment systems.
With more than 200 installations, Eurotec, headquartered in Padova, Italy, has engineered and manufactured some of the most complex chemical, food and beverage, and biomass treatment facilities in the world.
RWL says that Eurotec’s significant market share in the region’s wastewater and food processing sectors positions RWL to deliver a complete range of water treatment technologies and solutions – from components to full-scale systems – from a single provider serving middle-market industries and municipalities around the world.
Established in 2010 by billionaire cosmetics heir Ronald S Lauder, RWL Water Group is a private holding company focused on creating global water treatment solutions to meet the growing need for clean water worldwide. As well as Nirosoft, the group’s portfolio also includes Aeromix in the USA.
The combined companies give RWL Water Group an installed base in excess of 3,000 water treatment systems in more than 60 countries, spanning densely populated areas, remote communities and complex industrial sites in virtually every region of the world.
