The American Membrane Technology Association (AMTA) says that 193 abstracts have been received for its joint conference next year with the American Water Works Association (AWWA) in San Antonio, Texas.
The AWWA/AMTA Membrane Conference & Exposition 2013 will be held during 25‑28 February 2013 at the Henry B Gonzalez Convention Center. The deadline for abstracts was 16 July 2012.
Greg Watterau, chair of the program committee, told D&WR that topics ranged from produced water treatment and potable reuse to membrane material design, fouling control and novel desalination technologies. His committee will be working over the next several weeks to develop the program, finalize the keynote speakers and complete the preconference workshop schedule.
