NanoH2O appoints Markovich as CFO

California-based desalination membrane manufacturer NanoH2O Inc announced on 12 January 2011 the appointment of semiconductor and cleantech veteran John Markovich as chief financial officer.

Prior to joining NanoH2O, Markovich was the CFO of energy-sector new-tech manufacturer Emcore Corporation.

"We are delighted that John has joined our management team," said Jeff Green, NanoH2O's co-founder and CEO. "With more than 20 years of executive-level financial and operational leadership experience with rapidly-growing public and private technology and manufacturing-based companies, John is well suited to guide NanoH2O's accelerating growth.

"During his career, he has built numerous high performance organizations and led dozens of successful transactions including initial public offerings, acquisitions and divestitures, public and private financings and major collaborations. His experience will be essential in managing NanoH2O's future business."
