California’s Monterey Peninsula Regional Water Authority (RWA) has been recommended to hire a consultant to held the authority choose which of three alternative desalination plans it should be backing.
The RWA’s technical advisory committee recommended the hiring at a meeting on 23 May 2012.
The principal proposal is that by California American Water, but The People’s Project and DeepWater Desal Project will also be considered. The authority has about three weeks left to rank these and is expected to approve the hiring of a consultant at its 31 May 2012 meeting.
