Koch to give IDA Congress keynote speech

David H Koch, co-owner and executive vice president of Koch Industries Inc and president of Koch Membrane Systems, will deliver the keynote address at the opening ceremony for the International Desalination Association’s World Congress in Dubai on 7 November 2009.

Koch Industries is considered the largest privately-owned company in the world, with 2008 revenues of US$ 115 billion. David Koch has responsibility for the growth and management of its equipment manufacturing business.

In addition to the keynote address, the opening will feature remarks by Salma Hareb, CEO of Economic Zones World, supporter of the World Conference; HE Mohammed Bin Dha ‘en Al Hameli, minister of energy, United Arab Emirates (UAE); Dr Rashid Ahmad bin Fahad, minister of environment & water, UAE; HE Abdullah Al Hussayen, minister of water & electricity, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia; Dr Yaacob Ibrahim, minister of water & environment, Singapore; HE Eng Fahmi Al Jowder, minister of electricity and water, Kingdom of Bahrain; and Lisa Henthorne, president of IDA.
