Italians land € 100 million desalination plant in Iran

WTD, based in Pomezia, Italy, clinched a € 100 million deal in August to construct a desalination unit in Asalouyeh, near the South Pars gas field. The contract is for Iran's Damavand Petrochemical Company.

The desalination unit will provide 120,000 m³/d of desalinated water for petrochemical units located in the southern city of Asalouyeh. The first phase of the three-stage project will be implemented within a year and a half.
