California American Water announced on 5 August 2009 that Eric Sabolsice has been appointed to the position of operations manager in its Monterey District, where CalAm is likely to launch a desalination plant soon.
Sabolsice past experience includes six years with American Water’s non-regulated business as project director for the Tampa Bay water desalination facility and the Southeast water purification plant in Houston, Texas. At the Tampa Bay facility, Sabolsice was part of the team that brought the facility online, including the pretreatment process.
He has also managed the launch of the Orange County Ground Water Replenishment Facility in California, as well as a 27.5 MGD (104,000 m³/d) brackish desalination facility in El Paso, Texas.
