UK forward-osmosis specialist Modern Water plc has recently appointed William Harvey as its director of strategy and new business development for its Membrane Processes division as well as its electrocoagulation products.
On 11 January 2013, the company also announced the launch of a new Chinese website for its products.
Harvey joins Modern Water from GE Water where he was global sales director. While working for Ionics Inc and GE Water, he acquired a wealth of knowledge across multiple technological products for industrial high-purity water, seawater desalination, water reuse and zero-liquid discharge applications.
He specialises in marketing new technologies, the outsourcing of industrial water projects, municipal public private partnerships, new market development, water technology valuation and global business strategy.
The new website www.modernwater.cn comes just weeks after Modern Water signed a framework agreement with Hangzhou Development Center of Water Treatment Technology Co Ltd, which will allow both organisations to jointly identify and develop projects in China, including seawater desalination plants and other water-related opportunities.
