Black & Veatch creates Gulf states regional manager

Mazen A Alami has been appointed Black & Veatch’s regional manager in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states.

Mazen’s role, a new post, is central to developing Black & Veatch‘s business in the GCC. He will work with clients in the region on energy and water issues.

With his experience gained as CEO for both Al Toukhi and General Electric, Saudi Arabia; and vice president, Saudi Electricity Company, Mazen’s understanding of the region’s critical issues will help align Black & Veatch’s services with the needs of GCC clients.

“Understanding client needs and preferred delivery models is a critical component of our GCC business,” said Len Rodman, chairman, president and CEO for Black & Veatch. “Having held senior roles with many of the region’s leading utility companies and suppliers, Mazen is excellently positioned to develop our working relationships even further.”

Alami will be located in Black & Veatch’s recently opened Energy, Water and Construction & Procurement divisions in Dubai’s Internet City.
