Acciona Agua makes two new MENA appointments

Spanish desalination company Acciona Agua has appointed José Díaz-Caneja as development manager, Middle East and North Africa.

Díaz-Caneja takes up the post previously held by Alejandro Jimenez , who is now development director for the Water Services area.

Previously managing director of ForoPPP Infraestructuras, Díaz-Caneja is a civil engineer and holds an executive MBA from Spain’s IESE business school. He brings to his new post ample experience in the national water market, garnered over the past four years at an institution focused on developing PPP financing projects.

Reporting to Díaz-Caneja, and based in Dubai, is a new Middle East development manager, Jesús Sancho, who took up his post with Acciona Agua on 14 November 2011. Sancho is an aeronautical engineer and holds PDD qualifications from IESE. He has two years’ experience and for the last four years has been based in Dubai in one of Spain’s foremost water industry multinationals.
