AWA signs cooperation agreement with WSAA

The Australian Water Association (AWA) and the Water Services Association of Australia (WSAA) announced a cooperation agreement on 5 April 2011, which they say will offer the sector a stronger and more consistent voice, as both organisations pursue the joint goal of advancing an innovative and sustainable water sector in Australia.

The agreement outlines the principles of cooperation and specific areas for collaboration, including conference delivery and international relations, in order to achieve improved outcomes for the Australian water industry.

Commenting on the agreement, Peter Robinson, president of AWA (an affiliate of the International Desalination Association), said, “AWA and WSAA share a common vision for a world-class water sector. Working together to improve and advance the industry is in the best interests of our members and I am confident we can make great progress as a result of today’s agreement.”
