AMTA and SEDA to hold Chesapeake membrane workshop

The American Membrane Technology Association (AMTA), which promotes membrane processes for desalination and water / wastewater treatment, is to hold a joint technology transfer workshop with the Southeast Desalting Association in Chesapeake, Virginia, in May 2013.

Titled Application of Membrane Technologies in the Chesapeake Region, the workshop will be held on 20-22 May 2013 at the Norfolk Marriott Chesapeake. It will inform attendees about membrane filtration and reverse-osmosis technologies, Virginia regulations, indirect potable reuse, the handling of membrane by-products, groundwater desalting and drought-relief, and the operation and maintenance of membrane plants.

There will be an overview of the Northwest River Water Treatment Plant including a tour of the facility. The workshop will also feature several membrane case studies.

A brochure and registration form can be downloaded from the AMTA website.
