3rd International Desalination Workshop set for Jeju

The European Desalination Society and the Center for Seawater Desalination Plant are organising the 3rd International Seawater Desalination Workshop in Jeju, South Korea, taking place on 3-6 November 2010.

The event is supported by the Korean Society of Industrial and Engineering Chemistry and the Korean Society on Water Quality.

The workshop will be innovative and creative to provide systematic outcomes proposing and predicting new technology, future regulation, industry and market, and R&D milestones. It will be chaired by In S Kim, executive director of the Center for Seawater Desalination Plant, which has been managing the SeaHERO (Seawater Engineering & Architecture of High Efficiency Reverse Osmosis) R&D project. Its mission from the start has been to resolve the problem of lack of water for humankind by developing new desalination technologies.
